Five For Friday

Happy Friday my friends!  I cannot tell you how good it feels to lounge on my couch, with my adult beverage knowing that I have nothing to tend to in the morning.   I am linking up with Kacey at Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five For Friday.  Here are some highlights from my week.

Our art teacher at our school rocks.  She always is in the know as to what we are learning about and does great art projects related to it.  These are our bats at night pictures she did with them, along with a cute crafty bat freebie from A Cupcake for the Teacher.

My son had a birthday party at our local skating rink this past week.  It was so fun watching him try to skate and boy it sure brought some great memories for me.  Love!

Our new gym is coming along.  It's been so exciting to watch the progress.  We got basketball hoops and a scoreboard this week.  So fun!  My son is already imagining shooting hoops in there.

Our big buddy class teacher came to me yesterday afternoon and asked if we were available today because she had a a project for use.  Considering I had nothing really set in stone (or even pebbles), I said sure we are available.  So our 6,7, and 8th grade buddies came with all supplies and helped our littles make these thankful trees.  They were so cute!  The big buddies helped the littles write something they are thankful for onto each leaf.  The kids loved it!

Monday is our 50th day of school and I cannot wait!  It is such a fun day.  I was busy prepping for it this afternoon.  I will share what we do next week.  In the meantime, you can read about last years here and here.

Have a great weekend!
