Book Talk Tuesday

Now that summer is here for many of us, I thought I would join in with Deanna Jump and her book talk Tuesday.  I am looking forward to hearing about books from others.  I am a sucker for books and love hanging out at the bookstore.

I thought today I would share what I have on my summer to read list.  I will normally share one book, but for this first one, I thought I would share what I am planning on reading this summer.  My summer begins later this week, but I have downloaded and gathered some of my reads.  Speaking of reads, have you heard of Good Reads?  I just discovered it and it's great.  You rate books that you have read, add books to your want to read list and from these they will recommend books for you.  There are many other cool things on the site as well, but I am still discovering them.

Here is what is on my "for me" reading list this summer.

I am currently reading this and am enjoying it so far.

Here is what other books I want to read.

Here are some books that I am wanting to read for school.

Have you read any of these?  What did you enjoy about them?

  1. Number Sense Routines is a fantastic book! I used just about all the strategies in my classroom this year and I saw so much growth in my kiddos. It was super exciting :) Great summer read and super easy to implement in your classroom in the fall.

  2. I've read Guided Math by Laney Sammons a MILLION times. Love it. I saw the Number Sense Routines book yesterday while I was stalking Amazon, and now reading Nancy's response above it is moving up in the wishlist.
    The Meek Moose

  3. I have read the Divergent Series and LOVED it! I have also read The Book Theif - if was AMAZING! Have the tissues handy! I have added House Girl to my list!
    Mrs. Spriggs’ Kindergarten Pond
