Throwback Thursday

5 weeks left, really?  Ugh!  Summer is passing by way too fast.  My to-do list has not shrunk much.  Oh well, I am having fun and enjoying this time with my son so that is the important part.  I am linking up with Cara Carroll and her Throwback Thursday party.  I have just recently followed so many new blogs and it is fun to read posts I might have missed.

**This post is about my writing center tools and was originally posted on January 20th, 2013

I just love Sundays that are attached to a 3-day weekend.  We have had a great weekend and we still have one day to go.  One of the great things about living in northern California is the weather.  It always seems that January is beautiful here, sure we get rain but we often get sunny and mid 60's.  That kind of weather is great when it fall onto a 3-day weekend.  We were able to get a hike in, ride bikes and play at the park.  Lots of fun!

I also finished my monthly writing center word lists.  These have been very popular, but some of the months were not finished.  Well, now they are!  Each pack includes a word list (color and black/white)

They also include a small version, which I laminate and place on a binder ring.  I have them in my writing center and one for each table group.

There are also the word wall or packet chart sized words.
Each set is available individually, or the monthly themes are also available bundled as a set.  Here is what is included in the Year of Words Set:

My kids love using these.  I find that it helps them generate ideas to write about.  Don't forget to stop by my Facebook page today and see what my Thrifty Thursday item is!
