Baseball Math

Holy Moly Guacamole!  I only have 29 days left.  That is less than 30, wow!  Do you feel the same way?  Well this week we are continuing our school wide post office.  We will finish up towards the end of the week.  I thought it would be fun to put some baseball math centers to work on this week.  I have a lot of kids playing little league and I am a big baseball fan, so why not?  Here are my math tubs this week.
Baseball Concession Stand Math

Tally Marks read the room.  After they count the tally marks, they have to write what 10 more would be.

Find, Tally and Graph baseball-use a Vis-a-Vis pen to mark off which items have been found.

Batter Up! Baseball logic math.  This is a great challenge for my high kids.  They have to read the problem and manipulate the players to figure out the baseball line up.

Fact Family Practice

Tic Tac Baseball- addition and subtraction.

Roll and Cover- this is a great game that practices 1 more, 1 less, 10 more, 10 less.  There is also a practice sheet, but it's not pictured.  Click the picture below to learn more about Math Center Fun!

So that is my week.  After this we will begin our very last unit of the year...rainforest!  I love teaching about the rainforest. It's a great way to keep the kids engaged. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
