What's New Wednesday

Earth Day is next month and I love to teach the students about stewardship and the environment.  Our school does a lot of activities centered around taking care of our environment.  We usually teach our Green Team unit in September, but this year we are tying it into our rainforest unit later this year.  I made up some centers to use around Earth Day (April 22) and here ate the math centers:

Find, Tally and Graph-recycling

Roll and Cover- practicing 10 more, 10 less, 1 more and 1 less

Fact Family practice

Telling time to the hour and half hour

True or Not True number sentences

Missing Addends

Earth Measuring

All of these activities are included in the Earth Day math fun pack (click below).

And now for the literacy centers:

ABC Order

Scrambled Sentences

Syllable Sort

Nouns, Verbs and Adjectives Sort

Trash or Treasure- sentence or not a sentence sort

Fact or Opinion sort

All of these are included in the Earth Day Literacy Center Fun

If you want them both, you can get them bundled (which includes both of them).

How do you teach your students about taking care of our Earth?  Do you have any fun ideas?
