Christmas Frames

Hello there, happy day to you!  I wanted to share some things we are working on this week. But before I get to that I want to remind everyone to step away from distractions(TV, phone, computers, etc) and give your loved ones a hug.  I had a hard time going to school and letting my own child go to school on Monday, but I knew I needed to be there for my class.  It was great to give them hugs and just enjoy the moment in a first grade classroom.  None of my students brought up the event, which I was thankful for.  I wasn't ready for that.  I am working on some fun kindness activities to do with my kids when we return after Christmas break.  But this week in my class (we are in school until Friday), it craft week!  For some reason I always think it will be so fun to squeeze in as many crafts as humanly possible during the busiest times of the year!  Crazy, but fun!

On of our gifts is a pasta frame, made all fancy shmancy with gold spray paint:

It really looks more fancy in person because of the shiny gold paint.  What do we put inside you ask?  Well, I am a big fan of the "photo booth" prop trend, so I have various fabric backgrounds and I pull out my Silhouette and cut away.  This year the kids had a couple of options.  Here is me with the elf hat, and my friend Susan from First Grade Friendly Froggies in the Santa hat.

The kids look so cute with these pictures and with the gold frame, they are such a great gift!  Make today a great day and give your loved ones a hug.
